How long can I leave the nori in the tank for?

If the tang is not eating them how soon do I need to get it out before it foul up the water?

And sometimes I see there are pieces floating around after the tang tear it up do i need to pick those up or is it ok to let them settle and rot in the tank? Could there be any ammonia problem?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

I'm not sure how long to leave it in there, but if you don't have a clean up crew, you will want to remove the floating pieces. If you update "my info" with your tank size/equipment/critters, we might be able to help, better.
