Hey,

I just got some pom pom xenia frags that were unmounted. I used the rubber band method through the polyps. How long until it is safe to remove? A month? TIA.

You should be able to see that they are attached...the base or side will wrap around the contour of the rock. A month may or may not be long enough. I had some that took to a rock within a couple of days and another piece that still hasn't (over 3 months...)

Yeah, I've heard the time varies. But I used a rubber band to attach a pulsing xenia to a piece of rock and I left the rubber band on there for about a week. I think leaving it in an area with low flow definitely helps as well.

I've had xenia attach themselves to a neighbouring rock in one day
