Hello hit...

Considering aquarium plants are tropical and light is the plants' energy source, I'd keep them on at least 10 hours per day. I have the lights on my tanks on timers set for 12 hours on and 12 off.

Your tank needs a period of total darkness. I run and hour blue in the morning then full lighting for 8 hours then a couple of hours of blue at nighttime, then total darkness through the night...

According to a magazine I read. Coral max out on light at 9 hours. I would think to run them 10 hours blue. And 8 hours white.
