I have an Neptune Apex Controller with 8 outlets. When I first started, I thought that this was going to be more than enough (I only used 3 for my freshwater setup).

It didn't take long for me to realize that I was going to need a lot more outlets. Now I'm wondering if I need to get another 4 or 8 outlets.

Here's what I have so far
- Main Lights (2 on a powerstrip to the Apex)
- Refuge Light
- Powerheads (2 on a powerstrip to the Apex)
- ATO pump
- Return Pump
- Phosban Pump
- Skimmer
- Cooling Fans (2 on a powerstrip to the Apex)
- Wifi for Apex

As winter is coming, I think I may need a heater too...

Just wondering what the majority of well established tanks are using. I'm running a 36G w/ a 10G sump.

I an using 12 outlets and might add some more at some point. Think of adding a frag tank setup into the mix too.

Heater
Return pump
Lights
Wp-40 powerhead
Mp-10 powerhead
JBJ powerheads
Skimmer
Dosing pump Alk
Dosing pump calcium
Refuge light
GFO reactor
ATO pump

6 - LED lights
1 - fuge light
2 - skimmers
4 - pumps
1 - sump return pump
2 - ATO's
2 - heaters
2 - filters

ya that's 20....lol

4 power heads
1 return pump
1 skimmer
1 heater
1 fuge light
1 t5 lights
1 fan for fuge

I answered poorly.... I thought you were asking for how many wall outlets I use, not how many electrical devices do I run. That would be in the 17+ category.

3 for DT lights
2 for frag tank lights
2 for 'fuge lights
8 powerheads
1 for skimmer
2 return pumps
1 heater controller (with 3 heaters)

That's not including the 3 for my QT (heater, HOB, light) and another 2 for my mixing barrel (powerhead & heater).
