How much chaeto.?

I have a 20gal sump/fuge.....My fuge is about 5 gals....My fuge is pretty full.....what is a good amount to keep before I start trimming back.???
BTW my fuge also has a 2" sand bed

I usually keep mine between baseball and softball size. If yours is larger you could go as far as to half it and use it for some store credit at your lfs. As you probably already know cheato grows quickly when there are no other macros for it to compete with.

Heck, my fuge is packed right now. I keep meaning to pull a ton out, but never seem to find the time.

Thanks....I cut mine back a bit....seemd to grow pretty quick
