How much GFO (High capacity)

I just got my high capacity GFO ordered in. I'm on a strict budget so I want to use as little as possible. How much should I actually use? I feel the BRS calculator may have you use to much, so they can sell more.

I just got my salifert phosphate test kit, so if you want me to test the phosphates, I can.

I go by the calculator personally... BRS isn't a place that would steer you wrong. Lowering phosphates too quickly is no bueno anyways, so they wouldn't want to overshoot the estimate... Just my 2Ę.

It says on the bottle that you need to slowly add it and shouldn't add more than so much at once...I don't recall what that starting amount is.

I'm currently a bit over 0.1 phosphates right now (tested with salifert)
