Polyps can go from one extreme to the other. I have seen them kept in tanks that have only NO bulbs. A buddy of mine has several different species of polyps in a 30" tall tank with only 6 NO bulbs in the hood. They are all flourishing in this low lit tank.

On the other hand, they also do extremely well in high lit tanks. My polyps grown fine under my 250MH & 2X55w PC's.

I believe they actually do better in high lit tanks, myself with good water flow. But my friend would disagree.

I resent that I have 240w of NO on a 55 gallon.NO=PC lumens for lumens. I'd get some atinics and such for any kinda lights you use anyway
