How much pwc after cycling

My 29G is approcahing the end of the cycle. I have not done any pwc during cycling. The question is how much pwc I need to do once the cycle is complete. Is it 10% or more.

A five gallon change every week or two would not be a bad idea.

I know that it is around 10% every week, but my questions is about the first waterchange after the tank cycle is complete. I heard that some people do a 50% change and then 10% weekly thereafter

I would say, if your water parameters are all at 0, you should be good. The larger PWCs should be done if there is a problem, like a lot of nitrAtes, or any other type of water quality issues.

I would after your cycle do a 1/4- 1/3 PWC for your initial PWC. After that 10% every week will do. But yes after your cycle you need a good size PWC to freshen your water and remove nitrates.
