I've done a few searches here and see that many people soak their food in garlic, selcon, and vita-chem regularly. I'm wondering how much to use?

As far as I can tell, garlic is just for soaking and then you pour it off and/or rinse the food. Is that correct?

And do I add vita-chem and selcon to frozen foods before adding them to the tank (I feed every other day) or should I be adding them directly to the tank? How much and how often? My reef tank is 55G and total volume around 80G.

Thanks in advance!

I add two drops of garlic and the Selcon has a measuring dropper, I fill the dropper to .5mL, I use zoe and just add a litle of that, not sure on the vita chem, but that's what I feed for my 55....I also don't dump out the garlic either...
