no time table..as they grow the shells grow larger...so i would say it's somewhat food related...but i have heard that heightened iodine levels will cause inverts to molt prematurely.
i know it happens with shrimp this way.
Ok cool, yeah I'm probably due for another Water Test anyway. Yeah, 2 of em were fighting last night, apparently one thought the other's shell would fit him much better, anyway, He got his shell and the poor loser was stuck defenseless w/o a shell and I had to push one over to him He switched into one he found more suitable this morning, the crabs aren't crabby today lol
