How to clean out a saltwater tank

I have finished my transfer from the 10 gallon to the 44 gallon. Now I need to clean out the 10 gallon. We are going to put the two African Cichlids in the 10 gallon. What is the best way to clean out the tank as to not harm the new freshwater inhabitants. I am going to change the filter cartridge. Was unsure which forum to put this in.

I would clean it with diluted bleach and then wash it out VERY GOOD!! It shouldnt need a lot of cleaning

I would use vinegar....it will help with all the deposits and you wont need to worry about the chlorine residue and toxicity.
