How to get rid of this?

You should attach some of those to frag plugs with crazy glue then sell them 10$ a frag on kijiji or to your lfs looks like u have about 1000$ bucks worth lol
 
you can do like above, or scrape it off with a razor blade and toss it in the trash. i think it's helping more than hurting though. it's competing for food with that algae you have on the rocks. i think if you remove it, that algae is going to go crazy.
 
His big is your tank? What your lighting setup?

I'm curious as to how you got such growth.

Frag some and sell. Make a few hundred and get some upgrades for the tank.

Look at that, a self-sustaining ecosystem creates a self sustaining financial system. Gotta love it!
 
my tank is about the same Xenia everywhere. I've been cutting it and throwing it onto rock rubble. Going to drop some off at my LFS in a week or so. Instead of using a razor (which is a pain for me at least) I use some surgical scissors and cut it as close to the base. It is amazing how quickly it grows back.
 
Never seen so much Xenia before. Good god that is a ton of it. Awesome tank though.
