I just looked up Capnella coral on LiveAquaria and I wanted to know how true this is "It is not normally considered a threat to hard corals, but may itself be disturbed by their presence." What exactly does this mean.

I have a Kenya tree coral in my tank that is not looking to well now, and i was wondering if its because i added a couple of Montipra Digita frags and a Birdsnest. It is looking deflated and not as purky as it was.

Its saying that the chemicals that the hard corals give off can irratate or even damage the soft corals tissues.

There seems to be a general rule that mixing SPS and softies in a tank can cause issues due to this chemical warfare that can take place.

Do you think this may be the case? I have a lot of softies in my tank and the only one showing any illness is the Kenya.
