Im 4 weeks into hyposalinity and all spots have been gone for 4 weeks,
However just noticed fish flashing today!
Ammonia is low
Nitrites and nitrates are quite high as is only a small tank. Im water changing every 3 days.
Dont know what to do??

Ammonia and nitrite - these are highly toxic and need to be kept a low a possible. 0.25ppm is the absolute highest it should ever be allowed to go.

In a small tank you will need to do more water changes than every 3 days to keep those down.

Are you using a refractometer for measuring salinity? Or is it a hydrometer?

Refractometer. U think the high nitrites and nitrates are causing stress hence flashing?
Or does my 4 weeks start again?

Only the wrasse is rubbing and twitching. But not very often!
I used first treatment of tremazol last night, and will repeat in 7 days

Fish all eating and no spots. Am unsure what to do?

I came into this late. If you went 4 weeks with no sign of ick then you should have been able to slowly raise salinity. Flashing may have been due to raised nitrites etc. and that was 2 weeks ago. Are you still treating with hypo? Or just the med?

Thanks for your reply. I think the twitching may have been stress related and due to poor water quality as i had a lot of fish in a small hospital tank.
He was also subject to s bit of bullying.
I returned them to my dt yesterday and they all seem fine.
Wrasse still twitching now and then but has improved.
Thanks for your help. Just hope my hospital tank can become my quarantine tank once again now!!
