i notice every once in a while that i get a blast of micro bubbles from my fluval 405, a while being a day or two. is that a sign of a pin hole leak somewhere, or are they supposed to do that? also, i was under the impression that micro bubbles are a bad thing is that true? thanks

I have a fluvial, and mine spits out bubbles when I clean it and very occasionally.
As for micro bubbles, that is still a debate that didn't have resolution, if it harms the fish. I have seen a few places that say it does and one place that says it doesn't.
If it is intermittent, you should be ok.

great, thanks. one of the reason i asked is i noticed my fish trying to eat them, and my polyps grabbing hold of them. they also get underneath the polyps and are visable from the top. the first time i saw them i thought they were discoloration and got all freaked out, since i just upgraded to a 4x65 pc. i thought i burned them or something with too much light.
