Is my duncan ok?

It's looked like this since I got it about a month ago. Seems like it should be more open... I had him up top then heard they like lower light so I moved him almost to the sand bed yesterday but still right under the light. Any ideas? I spot feed it mysis shrimp and it eats like crazy.

Well, it might just be that duncan. It looks like all of the tentacles are out. If it had retracted itself you would know, it is pretty noticable. It doesn't look like the duncan that I currently own, but I'm starting to remember one of the duncans I had that was similar to that with fewer tentacles. Either way, it looks like it is doing fine to me.

Ok. Everything else looks fine so I'm guessing that's just how it is.

Mine likes a moderate/high indirect flow. I have it on the sand bed with that flow and its doing really well. The mother head had at least doubled in size in about 3-4 months.

Good luck

It looks MUCH better now. I have it almost on the sand with decent flow.
