You could reseal the tank. Basicly cut out all the old sylicon and put the panels back together with new.

You could use your existing 29 gal as a QT tank.

I would not worry about the weight of a 55 in a room with a 75 as well. If you place the tank so its weight is over multiple floor joists and you know the floor joists are in good condition, not being eaten out by termintes and not suffering any dryrot or water damage, then you will be fine.
