is there anything i could give the anemone besides the frozen stuff you buy from loca

hey guys! i have a 50g tank with 3 nemos and 2 starter fish (theyre getting along great!), i also have live rock and a anemone. My question is, is there anything i could give the anemone besides the frozen stuff you buy from local fish store? i mean, could i make my own food to give to or do they only require the frozen stuff?!?

You really dont have to feed it. IMO it gets all it needs from the lighting and water column. Is your tank cycled already.

In general if you feed brine shrimp or mysis they will usually grab some of this to eat and you don't need to worry about individual feeding.

i like to feed them. i think they thrive when you do. just don't overfeed. a pea sized piece of chopped shrimp or fresh fish a couple times a week is plenty.
yes, you can use fresh stuff from the supermarket if you prefer.

I've had my sebae anemone about 10 yrs and never directly fed it. They are photosynthetic and get energy from high power lighting plus the mated pair of clowns it hosts brings it food when I feed them.
