I was searching on eBay and found this DIY LED thing. I like it because I can make it span the length of my tank (40 gallon breeder. 36" long)
Check it out. Is it a waste of money? Will it support corals? Thanks!!

Looks like led ropes that they sell at auto part stores for cars I would be wary. life of the led could be short. Crap is brown so I would say no it's not.
