Is this good or bad? Should I try and get rid of it?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409543418.107468.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409543434.889739.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409543454.056723.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409543471.966750.jpg

Is it soft? Does it come off easily? Then it's cyano, if it is hard then coralline. Although I've never seen coralline that dark before...

it's coralline. if it were cyano you would also see little bubbles forming under the mat and it would have little streamers floating off it.
Pretty sure it's coralline that you have growing.

I'd say a little of both honestly. It looks like some of it is slimy and some isn't. Of course that's just a guess based on the pics, touch it, if it's slimy it's cyano, if it's hard it's coralline.

I had that before. It's a velvety type of coraline algae. Someone once gave me the name but I forget. Not cyano bacteria tho.

Is this something to be embraced or should I try and get rid of it?
