Is this good lights I just bought for a 30g reef tank

This is what I bought

I also got a 250w HQI 14,000k Hamilton.



will this work perfect for a 30 gallon

Should be plenty as long as you don't have heat issues. With a pendent, you normally don't. That is a lot of light for sure!

What kind of algae? Algae is photosynthetic and may in fact grow faster under more light I would look into your water parameters for hints to why you're growing algae.
