yap.. that is definately too much for softcoral.

Do you know of a good light that has actinic light also? i want both. Do you think I could just use a smaller watt bulb? I dont understand why they would sell a 20'' size light that is to much light. Is it to much for hard coral?

3 to 5 watt per gallon will be enough for the softcoral.
i used http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog...l then this CF that you choice will be good.

I might just go with that light and do hard corals. It will be a long time before I do corals anyways. Hell by the time i decide to I might just set up my 75 gallon for SW. :)
