"I thought this was a tube worm of some sort, but have not been able to identify it as such... Can anybody out there tell me what this guy attached to the glass is? It seems to be growing and I'm wondering if I want it in the fuge or not. "

That would be a Glass Anemone / Aptasia...

You definately do not want it in your main tank, as for a fuge? I dont know.

Ok an update you shall have.....

There is not really anything new to report, other than the fact that I have a nice crop of algae growing all over my live rock. Still no fish, and no new corals. Just trying to get a handle on the algae thing before introducing too much new life.

The algae has not been plucked out for a few days in that shot.

Here are some pics of the CandyCane before lights on and with lights on. This coral seems to be growing nicely.

Coraline seems to be growing on most hard places.

Face off!

A little hard to make out here, but there is a nice bunch of q-tip sponges on the walls of the sump.

Here is a shot of the sump itself.

The only other development is the explosion of pods. All sizes and shapes. I think that once fish are introduced to the tank, things should be well established.

It's been slow going for this tank. I've basically been doing water changes and letting things run their course. I think the algae has just about been beat. Thanks to some sound advice here I cut the light and added a handful of calurpa to the fuge. This is as good as things have looked since I started this tank...

Some update pictures:

It's looking much better! Are you running the light on your fuge 24/7? With calurpa in your fuge it is best to run the light 24/7 to keep it going sexual and making a very nasty mess of your tank. I have run my light 24/7 since the beginning on my fuge.

I do run the light 24/7, and pretty much have since it was started. The only problem I have in the fuge is that red cotton looking algae that does seem to be slowly dying off. It's still pretty thick though.
