I've been out of town all week. I'm always so scared that I'm going to get home and everything is going to be dead!

Question:

My clownfish has been the only clownfish in my tank since about February. I want to have a pair, but I'm worried about aggression. I don't want to rearrange all of my rocks to make it seem like a new tank either. I plan on setting up a 20 gallon frag tank not too far in the future and would like to have a couple of fish in it. So here is my questions:

Would it be better to wait and transfer him to the frag tank and get a pair for my tank later on?

Can I just add another one with him?
What are the chances of one of them being killed if I do that?

There is a high chance that there would be aggression when adding one more clown. You might try more than one, or do as you suggested and wait to add a pair at the same time.

Great. Thanks. I really don't want anything to happen to the clown I have now. I will just wait!

I haven't updated in a while, but here are some updated pictures and a few of my new corals. The FTS isn't great quality, sorry! I got a job at my local fish store and started earlier this week. It's pretty awesome. I didn't realize how much I didn't know until I started working there!

Just wondering if anyone ever even looks at this thread? Considering moving on to a different forum.

Yea I've only got 3 corals. But in about a month ill have a lot more

Thats cool. It's always good to take things slow. I've been collecting these since January. Do you have a build thread?

I will. I'm waiting for the right tank to come my way. It's going to be at least a6ft 120 gallon

Cool. I had a 6 ft fowlr setup for a little while. Then I realized how expensive it was. I couldn't afford it. Enjoy it!

I think a bigger tank will be cheaper for me in the long run. I'm really wanting a 180-220 gallon. If I get in that range ill be happy with it and won't need to upgrade again

Following. Is this a 25tall? I just got a 20g tall that I'm going to start on. Is the hob filtration all that you run? Tank looks nice!

I'm not sure a big enough tank actually exists. Haha. But I see what you're saying. I'm a broke college student. I couldn't even afford the water for mine.

Thank you! Yes it is. Plus the chaeto at the top to feed on some nitrates. I've looked into a nano skimmer, but I've heard most of them are relatively low quality and I'm planning on an upgrade sometime in the future. So I'm not going to invest in that. With most smaller tanks HOB filtration is a-okay.

I'm thinking of buying a eshopps psk75 or looking into the sca come skimmer. I'm going to have a 20g sump underneath.
