just got rock!

just got my key rock... i'm all paranoid still whether or not to put right into my tank.

the vendor says to just throw it in

anyways, what's that orange stuff on the rock? is it dead? should i scrub it off?

and what is that colorless lumpy thing? it's kind of whitish.

by the way... there's some seaweed on some of my rock too

keep it or take that off?

The oragne stuff is algae (DON'T SCRUB IT OFF) the other thing I don't know. Sorry

As gerald said, the orange is algae. The white thing as i said down in the sponsor forum, i can't tell from the pic but i will continue to talk to you about it as i asked some questions about it in liverocks.com forum.

"White" looks like it could either be a type of sea hare or stomatella varia.

LOL Donoree, I had to laugh when I read your post because I figure I'll be the same way when I get my first batch of LR. (what is that?, what is this? kill that? scrub this off? haha)
