Just picked up a gold and purple tip torch!

I've been waiting for one of these for weeks. My lfs got one in a few weeks ago and I passed on because it was $300. Well, they told me to come in today because they are getting a ton of corals in from Australia and low and behold they had one!

The pics aren't good but here they are anyway

Nice piece. Eventually you may wanna get if off the sand and pick a nice place where it can really open up

I did just end moving that and my toxic hammer off the sand bed, but out of curiousity, why do you recommend moving them off the sand bed?

I would think the first reason would be for flow and that it would allow the light to hit it from all angles. The second would be feeding as the better flow would bring more food and it would have a better chance for that food to land in the tentacles. Lastly they look better. You can get some aquastick and glue them to good rocks that will provide a stable platform, then just place them until you find them a spot where they dig and can grow.
