Hey folks!!

I was just wondering if I should be adding anything into my water for keeping coral? I put in coral food which my LFS recommended and I currently carry out weekly 20% water changes using RO/DI water!

The corals I have so far seem to be doing fine! :)

TIA

Nope, most corals are just fine feeding from the water column and you doing your weekly water changes gives them the nutrients and elements they need. I don't feed my corals anything and they are spreading and growing like crazy. :)

The only corals you need to feed are non photosnythetic ones, like sun corals and trunicates, they need to fed by hand. But yep, looks like youre doing well.

Corals do like a snack now and again. Rods food. Acans, trumpets, and others put out tentacles at night. Mushrooms, plates put things into their mouths. Why not feed?

Cool! I have been feeding them but I mite just cut down on the feeding as I assume if I do it too much it will increase my nitrates?

Here are pics of the new additions! I got the polyps for free!! :)
