Keeping live sand clean

I got mine for a few moths now and so far all seams fine. Oh course it's hard to tell if he is happy or not, but he is normal in behavior, alive, and Sand looks good too. ("good" as in alive and happy as a starfish )

He may look alive and happy right now, and so may your sandbed, but the end is inevitable. As Doug stated, had you done your research you would have known that before you bought it. Its nice that you love him, the question is, how will you feel as you watch him starve?
