I've got coralline algae all over my tank. No big thing. I've also got, however, this new green algae growing on my glass. It's not the typical film that can be easily removed with my magnetic scrubber. It looks like green coralline algae, basically. I have to get a razor blade or a really coarse algae scrubber and go to work on these things. They're little spots (1mm or less in diameter) all over the glass. They're fairly slow-growing, but they get annoying. On the back glass (which I don't scrub) they get to as much as 3-4cm in diameter since I leave them. What is this, and how can I stop it from growing? It's SO hard to remove. Takes serious effort, and I'm lazy.

It's a green micro algae, the only think you can do is to keep your nutrients low, use herbivorous snails and hope it does the trick.
