I've been admiring the Lamarck's Angelfish for some time now...but keep reading varying information about it's requirements on the internet and in books. Some sites say 40 gal minimum, some say 70 gallon minimum.

What is your opinions about putting one in my 45 gallon? It's a tall tank, 36" long, 12" wide, 24" tall.

My inkling is that a larger tank would be required... :(

Beautiful Angel, my lfs had a large 6" one a couple of months ago but considering they get up to 9" a larger tank would be needed eventually.

If you know for sure a LFS, etc. will take it off your hands and find it a proper home when the time comes, it might be worth it. If it were me, I would not add it JMO.
