LEDS

Has anyone ever used those cheap LED strip lights they sell on ebay? I saw some that say they are 14k but don't know if they will do anything? Any one know if they are worth it or if they are just a waste because it could fit two or three strips in my t5 hood.

Heres one

I've never seen those before. I'm not sure if they would do anything besides light your tank, it doesn't say anything regarding wattage. I bought a similar blue LED set from another seller that I'm going to be using as my moonlighting in my tank.

1+ would also like to know if worth it because I could fit 2 on my T5 light fixture.

I'll let you know when I get them installed. I'm waiting on the plug converter. They sent me a European plug...

On these here the blue ones it says that its 15 watts for 3 ft strip so that would be 5 watts for 1ft? I dont know much about LEDS but how much would that be equal too in florescent?

If there are 5 bulbs per stick, thatd be 1 watt per led. I dont see any reason not to use the blues as moonlighting. The others would only be for a fowlr tank that you want more white to the look.
