It's not dimmable, so you can't adjust the amount of white and blue, and by the looks of it, there's not enough blue, so I don't think you are going to like the look.

So overall the first one for something simple enough to grow beginner corals and good lighting with a low price tag

I don't have first hand experience with it, but from the description, yes. The trouble is, odds are you are going to want a stronger light later, and then you'll be spending twice. What size tank are you working with?

You can light a 30" x 12" tank easily with one of these-
New Dimmable 120W Aquarium Coral Reef Fish Tank White Blue LED Light Black Shell | eBay
It will grow anything you want. The downside is, the dimming capability is manual, so you'll have to dial up your mix of blue and white with 2 knobs.

On the lights you recommend here there is another model they sell that is Full Spectrum with some other colered leds in the mix
Is this important for growing coral?
Or is it just astetics

Just aesthetics. Some like the extra colors. I prefer the blue and white units.
