It's a 5ft tank 2ft deep

It's a 5ft tank 2ft deep and there is 3 250w lights over the thank

Start at a foot and a half above the tank then slowly lower them if you already have corals. If not it's really up to you. I would say around 10in enough to get your arm in the tank and do work.
