Lights and LR

the 48"lunar and was wondering..while I'm cycling what lights do I need on and for how long? I've heard 12hrs 14hrs which is it? and do the moonglow lights have any photosynthetic spectrum that the rock needs? I only have LS and LR in the tank..

During cycling lighting is not a big issue. Actually cutting back on lighting will help control diatoms and algea growth. 4-6 Hrs. per day is just fine.
