will it scrape off easily.... if it dose it is not coralline algae.

its not as thick as that cyno its very thinly spread almost like an algae its not even as thick as a coralline ill try scraping it and see what happens

it doesnt scrape off easily so idk if i knew how to post pics id put one up here its just a thin coloration to the rocks that is like a lime green color its not a thick growth like the other purple corralline i have

Don't use the quick reply box. Instead hit the reply button. There is a button near the bottom where you can search your hard drive for the filename. Put a file comment in the next box and then hit add attachment.

If your picture is too big, you sometimes have to make it smaller. Here are the limits for pictures and the types of files you can upload.

Allowed Extension Groups and their Sizes
Images -> Maximum Upload Size: 100 KB
gif ief jpe jpeg jpg pbm pgm png pnm ppm ras rgb tif tiff xbm xpm xwd

I also have green algae that I thought was coralline growing on the glass and rocks, I am having doubts now that I have started scraping off gree from the glass to. I wonder if all coralline grows in blotches like the purple?

finalyl got some pictures first 2 are with actinic and 10,000k 2nd 2 are with just the 10,000k

That looks like a small microalgae bloom and not green coralline. I would recommend that you watch water parameters (particularly Nitrates and Phosphates) and buy some more snails.
