Little help needed

I have some chemi pure elite being shipped right now, what I want to know is how I should clean this stuff before I use it.

Should I rinse it (under running tap)?, soak it? Squeeze it? Or what??

the way i rinse it is just by filling up a bucket of tap water and sway it a little. repeat a couple of times and run it through the tap water for couple of sec to make sure the water comes out clear. and don't squeeze it.

So it doesn't matter if I use tap water? I thought I might need to use r/o??

i dont think tapwater is that poisoning. Its good enough for the humans... im sure its good enough to rinse the carbon. you just don't want to run too much water ( any water ) through it.

Tap is fine, there's nothing to harm.

So I just put hold it under the tap and let the water run over it? For how long a minute?
