Live rock ?

I'm getting diatoms on a bunch of new LR i ordered. Will this cause it to cycle at all? Should I do a few more frequent PWCs?

Probably some die off from the rocks resulting in more nitrates, diatom bloom. A plane trip is bound to kill off a lot of living things.

I picked them up from a guy I know locally. He had them in a running tank and I brought them to my house completely submerged in buckets. Their shouldnt be any dieoff.
