I currently have a 55Gal tank with nothing but sand and Coral Skeletons.
I want to put some Live Rock in the tank to bring it alive more. If I started placing live Rock onto the Coral Skeletons, will the organisms from the live rock eventually start to grow from the live rock and populate the Coral Skeletons as well?

Also How Much live Rock is recommended to start with?

Thanks,
Rob

Yes the critters bacteria and the algea will eventually colinate the rocks you have in the tank now. As for the ammount of rock you start with, depends on your budget. Most people say about 1.5 to 2 lbs per gallon of water when finished adding rock. It all depends on what you want your tank to look like.
