Live Rock - Brittle?
I just got my LR today... I'm going through it now and pieces are falling apart. Should it be doing that? It is Fiji rock.
Now I see there are hundreds of small pieces at the bottom of the box. This doesn't seem right! Thanks. |

There should not be too many peices of rubble. However, you can use this rubble rock in a sump or HOB filter for extra media. It is great stuff.

I called the shipper... they had me weight the rubble -- 13 lbs! Little 1-2" pieces. Very frustrating. I understand things happen in shipping, but the part that gets me is that it breaks off so easily. I had no idea it was that porous. They are sending me another box (half the size, which is fine) so I should end up with good pieces in the end. It's just going to take another week of "waiting"... the hard part
