I recently broke down my 70G to overhaul the unit and a few other things, the majority of its contents (coral, live rock, fish) all went into other tanks/containers.

I put a fair amount of live rock into an unheated (but does have power head) bucket, it's been in there for a day now and it's only just occurred to me about it being unheated.

Will this kill of the rock much? I can add a heater to the bucket tommorow.

If this is a bad move then how to move forward?

Cheers.

It may kill the bristle worms, pods, and whatnot. Will certainly kill off most of the coralline algae. Will not kill the bacterial colonies.

In relation to the temperature there was lol.

20c is seemingly fine at least for coralline and filter worms because it's all doing good :)
