How long can it last in the bag? Decide to start a 75 SW and will start buying equipment soon
 
The one you buy? It's not really alive. They give a little bag of bacteria in the bag. So it can last a long time. If its really alive to begin with.

Yep, like caribsea live sand. It would be in the bag for at least 8 months,
 
Those bags have expiration dates marked on them. But really, it's just a gimmick, how much live bacteria do you think is in the bag after shipping, storage, wild temperature swings, etc...? Do your wallet a favor and find a good source for dry sand. I know a real good place that sells pre washed pure aragonite sugar sand for stupid cheap.
