Live Sand

Our live sand came in today for early Christmas present and we don't know what to do with it. We are leaving to visit so what should we do? Put a little water in the tank and let it be?

Didn't it come in plastic sealed bags. If so you don't need to do anything with it till you get back home

It can stay in there that long?

If it was just pulled off the shelf and not freshly packaged it probably doesn't have much life in it if any. Just leave it in the bag till you're ready to begin cycling your tank.

It's the good stuff that has moisture in it
