I am beginning to consider adding a few fish to my aquarium and one under consideration is the long nose butterfly. Can someone with experience with this fish comment on how easy they are to care for and what their diet is? I have read that they are carnivors, very docile to other fish, and that they are relatively easy to care for.

Thanks in advance. :)

Like all butterflies they CAN be hard to feed. In my experience with a raccoon butterfly, he ate like a hog. He ate mysis shrimp and formula one. NO brine shrimp. They may eat it and want it, but it is not good for them, nor any saltwater fish for that matter. I'm not sure how easy they are to care for, but most butterflies aren't to awful hardy some are though. Mine got ich, but other than that he was pretty easy to take care of. HTH
