my 150gal tank is pre drilled and has a single overflow with a stand pipe.
the stand pipe makes alot of noise like it sucking air. How do you fix it so that it does not make that noise any more? I have tried adding a piece of air line tubing to it but it does not work so well.

Durso, I use the airline with success. how long of a piece? Get it at least 1' long and stick in down the overflow pipe leaving a few inches out so air can get in.
Also I have have heard if you drill a hole in the top of the over flow pipe and stick the air hose in there it will work also.
Good luck,, that noise gets very annoying fast..

I have dual 1.5" durso's on mine. It is very quite. All you hear is the water breaking the surface in the main.
