Lowering phosphate levels

What's the best way to lower the phosphate levels in my tank? Besides water changes. I have a red slime problem.

Are you using tap water? If you are that is contributing to the problem.

Just a thought.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

If it's not that, maybe the kind of food and frequency of feeding. Froaen food cubes have phosphtes in them, so its usually best to melt themin ro water then strain it into clean ro water and feed. extra step but keeps the nasties out. lol
