On my Mag12, it came with a sponge to help quiet the vibrations a little bit. I'm going to have it in my sump, directly on the glass (no LS or LR for the sump yet...if ever->prolly in fuge, but anyways...) and I want to minimize noise. Is the adhesive on this sponge safe to use, or should I just buy a thick filter sponge and plop it underneath? Mind you, I'm not refusing to spend money (I've spent a ton on this thing), but I'd rather not buy a sponge if the one that came with it will work. Ya know? ;)
Thanks!

The only sponge I have seen come with mag pumps is the one that goes on the intake. Of course I have never gotten one larger than a mag9.

You could also use felt or a rubber pad.

I would not use adhesive as you will probably want to take the sponge out every so often and clean it.
