Mantis shrimp

I was feeding my fish today when out of no place what looks like to be a 2 inch lime green mantis shrimp.. He moved pretty fast so I could not look at the claws. Is it time to worry?? TIA

Yes, I caught one after he killed my sleeper head golby and a lot of my snails and crabs started turing up dead or mangled. Some here told me they usually only kill fish OR invertabrae but mine liked to dable in both. They are predators!

You might find someone here that would like to have him if you don't decide you want it.

If you are sure it is a mantis you can worry a bit. Have you heard any pops or clicking from the tank?

Is it possible it is a pistol shrimp instead of a manits? Look at this picture of my pistol... they are not predators and would be OK for you to keep.

Now, here is a picture of the mantis I caught in my tank.

Does it look like either of these? Click on the picture to make it larger.
