Many Thanks

Don't know who it was that suggested it, but while setting up my 29 with sand and rock I remembered someone talking about cutting pvc pipe to make stands so the rock is not "in the sand" but rather sitting right at the top.
Well I tried it and it looks great, all I did was cut it to where it sat right at the surface of the sand and then just set the rock right on it.

Good deal. The only downside I can think of would be sand sifters moving the sand around to a point where you have exposed PVC.

I'd imagine whatever gets exposed will be covered with coralline soon enough.

Is the pvc gonna leach or something? If not I don't think there is a problem, it's far enough back out of sight even if my sifters uncover it I don't think anyone will see it.

Naw, it just gives that unnatural look if you can see it.
