Welcome to the site!
How old is your tank?
What are your water parameters?
How much/what are you feeding?
What kind of lights do you have and how long do you run them?
What kinda of water are you using?

Welcome to AA. Give us the information Roka mentioned. There are several things we need to know before we can really help you.

If you are talking about a dusty brown algae on the glass and sand bed that is probably diatoms and a result of a recently cycled tank. If you are talking about a different kind of algae then we will need some more information.

Unwanted algae is a common problem with SW tanks, especially new tanks. Keep in mind...there is no "out of the bottle" product that will rid you of the algae. All of the info provided will certainly help in your fight. Just as it takes a while for the algae to take hold, it will take work and time to get rid of. Identify the source and correct the problem. A pic of the algae may help us ID it and offer more suggestions.
