Marine Algae?

My fuge light produces a great amount of heat and I was wondering how long should the light be on to keep up the Marine Algae? Would a mini fan help with the heat?

I leave my light on 24/7. Fans should help with the heat.

Does the light heat effect the tank temps? if not I would not worry.. Like Hara states fans do help with heat issues.

I keep mine on 24/7 also. I believe they say if you dont ,they need to be on oppisite your main lights
